Obituary for
Richard Rucireto
Richard R. Rucireto, 76 years of age, born and raised in Brooklyn, NY went home to God on December 14, 2023 surrounded by his adoring wife and children.
Richard was born on July 13, 1947 to Anthony and Dolly in Brooklyn, NY.
In 1968 Rich married his childhood sweetheart, Maureen, and she remained the love of his life for their 55 year marriage, doting always on their precious children Richard and Loren.
Softball and roller hockey were his passions and he cherished the time he was able to play ball and hockey with and coach his son Rich.
He was a fierce protector of his daughter Loren who he lovingly called “Lil Bit”.
Anyone who knew Rich knew that his family meant everything to him, taking such joy in forever showering them with his loving words and his contagious, goofy jokes. He was an avid New York Yankees fan and The Mick “7” was his guy. He was also a diehard New York Rangers fan and season ticket holder for over three decades.
Rich loved his daughter-in-law Lisa and son-in-law Bobby like his own and no man was ever prouder of his 4 amazing grandchildren Derek, Alexandra, Dylan and Rich.
Rich was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he told them all the time.
We deeply mourn his loss and encourage any and all who knew him to remember the beauty he brought to this world.
